Before the raid we all have to complete the 15 chapters of In Their Absence. I will be completing these instances and helping others this month as I am able. They are fellowship quests, how you tackle them is up to you. Join up with my group or other kin-members during the day or complete them solo. Once the majority of us have finished, we will start planing the final raid.
The pre-requisite instances and Final Raid starts at Lvl 65 and can be scaled to Lvl 160

Overview
⚠️Read this First
All of these quests are Instance clusters. In order to progress you must talk to the NPC's inside and outside the instance. There is known issue we encountered where the quest disapears from your tracker (typically at least one fellowship member will have it tracked). I recomend checking the Quest Log to make sure they show completed before continuing. Standard instance reset prosedure is to create new un-related instance (party leader travels )before restarting the desired instance
These quests are a pre-requistite to unlock Durin's Bane for more details visit the wiki

⚠️Completing this on level will be a challenge. You will need to pay close attention to what he says
👯"Divided you shall fall." - Distributed damage attack, group up.
🤢"I shall unleash a gift upon those that face me." - Get behind him.
🦠"Poisonous vapors shall grant me strength." - Remove his corruption (or suffer through it).
☁️"You shall behold the power of Dark Thorn." - Get away from him! He's about to drop a poison cloud on himself.
Angaidh and Sidhág - Lost Temple wiki
Aura: Strength of Shadow - The siblings gain the Warding Shadow buff when standing together
Warding Shadow +66% outgoing damage, -66% incoming damage
Night Terror Curable debuff, doubles incoming tactical damage
Shadow Stream Channeled damage over time; interrupt Sidhag to remove
Strategy
⚠️Have the tank grab agro on Angaidh and pull him away while everyone else attacks Sidhág. The two of them gain a buff when together and a powerful AOE attack, so keep them separated. Sidhág has a channeled attack; there's no induction circle but it can be interrupted or broken by LoS. Sidhág doesn't move much so any time the two group up, have the tank pull Angaidh out of buff range again. This should be done on the ground floor, back and forth, with one of each of them on opposite ends of the room so everyone remains within healing range. Attack Sidhág down to 50% morale then switch to Angaidh and kill him. Switch back to Sidhág and finish her off.
"Fear not, brother, you shall not fall!" - Sidhág is healing Angaidh, need to weaken her first
"See to your wounds! I will deal with these fools!" - Sidhág has been weakened enough, switch to Angaidh
"Shadows, protect me!" - Sidhág is healing herself, need to weaken Angaidh
"How fare thee, brother?" - Sidhág runs over to Angaidh, pull him to the other side
"Let me lend a hand!" - Angaidh runs over to Sidhág and drops aggro, taunt him back
"Stand still worm" - Stun and induction for a large hit, interrupt the induction
"I stand in the darkness!" - Heavy AoE damage when they stand together, run away
"Are you afraid of the dark?" - Incoming tac damage debuff, cure it
❗Killing Sidhág and Angaidh within 10 seconds of each other will complete the Synchronized Slaughter deed and grant the Swift Executioner title.
Ost Dunhoth: Wound and Fear Wing
Level: 65–160
Type: Arch-nemesis
Genus: Ancient Evil
Species: Nameless
Durin’s Bane is a mechanically punishing encounter that heavily tests raid awareness, tank coordination, and death management. The fight varies slightly depending on difficulty tier, but the core mechanics remain consistent.
Durin’s Bane tracks total player deaths during the encounter.
If six player deaths occur at any point, the raid is instantly wiped.
Battle rezzes and recoveries do not reset this counter.
➡️ Clean execution and death prevention are critical.
Durin’s Bane is immune to most crowd control and state-based effects.
Do not rely on stuns, roots, or disables to manage the fight.
Fear stacks accumulate throughout the fight.
Higher stacks increase pressure on healers and tanks.
Proper tank swapping is required to manage debuffs safely.
Tier 2 introduces additional environmental hazards and challenge mechanics.
Poor positioning or failure to react correctly can quickly escalate the fight.
Two tanks are mandatory.
Tanks must swap aggro regularly to clear special debuffs.
Poor swaps will lead to tank deaths — and deaths are not recoverable.
Tanks should coordinate swaps clearly and early rather than reacting late.
Triggered once Durin’s Bane reaches below 50% health.
Deals massive AoE fire damage in a full 360° radius.
Facing away from the boss greatly reduces damage taken.
Failing to turn away will heavily tax healers or cause deaths.
⚠️ On Tier 2, intentionally taking full damage (not turning away) completes Challenge Mode, but is extremely dangerous.
No fire spawns on the platform.
Focus is on:
Death management
Tank swaps
Facing away during Face Your Fears
Fire patches spawn on the platform.
Fire deals approximately 500–1000 damage per tick.
Boss must be actively repositioned to avoid stacking fire zones.
Standing in fire while mishandling Face Your Fears often results in deaths.
Keep the boss moving steadily on Tier 2 to prevent fire buildup.
Avoid sharp or panicked movement — smooth repositioning keeps melee safe.
Ranged and healers should pre-position with escape paths in mind.
On initial inspection, Durin’s Bane appears to have Remarkable mitigations.
After a Lore-master applies Ancient Craft, it is revealed that:
Durin’s Bane has slightly lower mitigation for Beleriand damage.
Common damage types are also slightly reduced (both show as Superior).
➡️ Applying Ancient Craft early provides more accurate damage optimization.
❌ Allowing deaths to accumulate
❌ Late or missed tank swaps
❌ Facing the boss during Face Your Fears
❌ Standing in fire on Tier 2
❌ Poor movement causing healer line-of-sight issues
